Betty White Will Voice Mrs. Claus In ABC Holiday Special “Prep & Landing: Operation Secret Santa”

Another gig for octogenarian Betty White: The multiple Emmy winner has been tapped to voice Mrs. Claus in a new animated holiday special premiering on ABC this winter, network spokesfolks said Tuesday.

Prep & Landing: Operation Secret Santa — a seven-minute short film — premieres Dec. 7, right in the middle of the airing of Charles Schultz’s 1965 holiday classic, A Charlie Brown Christmas. The movie is the second installment in the Prep & Landing series, incorporating several noteworthy stars to voice the comical adventures of Santa’s renegade elves, Lanny and Wayne.

“With Christmas only a few short days away, Mrs. Claus, voiced by Betty White, and Magee, voiced by Sarah Chalke, enlist Wayne, voiced by Dave Foley, and Lanny, voiced by Derek Richardson, on a secret mission to retrieve a mysterious item hidden deep within Santa Claus’s office! Can the intrepid duo acquire the target in time, or will they be discovered by the Big Guy, voiced by Morgan Sheppard, and doomed to placement on the Naughty List?”
