As fans well know, ‘Breaking Dawn, Part 1’ ends on a bit of a cliffhanger, but don’t bolt for the exits when the credits start: There’s a bonus scene that teases a major conflict in ‘Part 2,’ as Peter Facinelli (Carlisle Cullen) tweeted earlier today. What’s the scene in question? Hint: you’ve actually seen a chunk of it in the trailer. MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD!
Still here?
If the theatrical version of ‘Breaking Dawn’ is the same as the one screened for the press, the extra scene features the return of the Volturi, with Michael Sheen (as Aro) saying ominously, “They have something I want.” That line is in the current trailer (below at the 3:06 mark), as is a glimpse of secretary Bianca (Ali Faulkner) being dragged away by mean-looking minions after bringing an unwelcome message.
Interestingly, a different scene of a different girl delivering a message to the Volturi was featured in the wedding invite montage in the first ‘Breaking Dawn’ trailer (as in the image below). So a brunette in a red dress delivered the wedding invitation without invoking the Volturi wrath, but poor Bianca gets it when informing them about baby Renesme? Rough crowd! ‘Breaking Dawn, Part 1’ is currently in theaters. ‘Part 2’ comes out in (gasp!) a year.
