It’s only been a few days since the big announcement that Warner Bros. was deep into development on another Justice League movie, which would be DC Comics’ answer to The Avengers, teaming up all their major superheroes (like Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern) on the big screen. In internet years, though, after a week fans expect to see a finished movie already, and so to pass the time they’re creating their own versions of a Justice League they’d like to see.
First up is this live-action, fan-made trailer that uses bits and pieces from film and TV in an attempt to show us just what a Justice League movie could look like. In the end, there’s a good chance none of the actors featured here will wind up playing their respective superhero roles in the film, but it’s still a fun watch.
Next up, artist Daniel Araya took to his Deviant Art page with these concept sketches of an animated Justice League that looks very much like it was born from the minds of Pixar. While this could never happen in real life, the fact that Disney owns Marvel may get us a Pixar superhero movie one day, just not featuring DC characters.
Here’s what Pixar’s John Lasseter recently said regarding a Pixar Marvel movie [via Collider]:
“Well, I can’t say anything about that because Marvel just got—[they’ve] been a couple years as part of the Disney company, we’ve been six years as part of the Disney company. And at Pixar, we stay focused on making original films. Even our sequels are kind of created internally and we come up with ideas [on our own]. I’m also leading the Walt Disney Animation Studio and all of that. These studios are filmmaker driven studios, so if a filmmaker comes to me and says, ‘Hey, I wanna do this,’ then I would be really open to it.”
Which Marvel character do you think lends itself best to the world of Pixar?
