Boxer Amir Khan has revealed that Cheryl Cole’s romance with dancer pal Derek Hough is a trick to keep paparazzi at bay.

Amir, 23 said that Cheryl confessed to him she is not Derek’s girlfriend. The pair enjoy cosy nights in front of the telly but are more like brother and sister than lovers.

“I had dinner with Cheryl and Derek in LA last week,” the Daily Star quoted him as telling Grazia magazine.

“He’s not her boyfriend. They’re not going out. It’s all just a cover-up to keep photographers at bay,” he added.
