“Snow White and the Huntsman,” which hits theaters this weekend, is just the latest big-screen reinterpretation of a timeless fairy tale, a genre that has gone on to produce some of the coolest, most eye-catching imagery in history.
Over the years, artists have offered their own unique take on the world of fantasy, inspired by everything from the whimsical style of Walt Disney to the magic and monsters of Jim Henson.
