Howard Stern has bedbugs: The Manhattan office where the shock jock broadcast his morning radio show has been infested with the hard-to-kill insects.

An new Orkin poll claims New York City has the worst bedbug infestation in America.
Bedbugs have been taking a bit out of The Big Apple summer, with public outbreaks of the bloodsucking creepy crawlers reported in The Time-Warner Building, Niketown Manhattan, Hollister, and even the Magic Johnson Theater in Harlem! The city has been blighted by the parasitic insects for months as New Yorkers struggle to find ways to battle the pesky buggers.

Stern is the latest victim. The office where he broadcasts his famous Sirius XM Radio show had to be fumigated over the weekend, while specially-trained sniffer dogs also found the predators in Howard’s car.

Howard complained about the pest in a chat with listeners this week. Although his office is reported “100 percent bedbug-free,” the loudmouthed pundit still can’t take his mind off the parasites.

“Supposedly we’re 100 per cent bedbug-free. The only place in New York City that probably is 100 percent bedbug-free… (But) I’m scratching every minute… You know how paranoid I am about bedbugs. I just wish our contract (with this office space) was done and we could get out of here.”

Bedbugs were once thought to have been eradicated during the 1960s thanks to widespread use of the powerful pesticide DDT. But with the formula now banned for its harmful effects on those of us who get around on two legs, the critters have been making a comeback.

Howard blames the hippies.
