Solo: A Star Wars Story director Ron Howard has shared Harrison Ford’s personal response to the film.
Starring Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, the Disney prequel movie, which is ready lengthy earlier than he crosses paths with Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia, sees the titular scruffy-looking nerf herder meet lifelong bestie Chewbacca earlier than turning into embroiled in a large-scale heist.

“He said some things publicly, but privately, it was really great to see him put his hand on Alden’s shoulder and say, ‘Great job kid,'” Howard recalled of Ford’s response to the actor’s new take whereas showing on the Lights Camera Barstool podcast.
“Alden worked so hard and it was a very high-risk situation for him and he was a cool customer and was really a pleasure to work with, as was that entire cast, they are just a great bunch.”
During the chat, Howard went on to say that after he took over directing duties from Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, he reached out to Ford, who wasn’t instantly concerned within the undertaking, and requested for his perception as to why Han is such a beloved and relatable character.

“Harrison’s a very thoughtful actor and an artist, and I wanted to know what he learned about the character,” the filmmaker defined.
“He said that Han is always torn between that sense that he was, in a way, an orphan, and therefore both yearned for connection with people and struggled with it at the same time. I thought that was pretty interesting.”
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and all the Skywalker Saga can be found on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K now, in addition to on Disney+, whereas Rise of Skywalker can also be on Sky Cinema Premiere and NOW TV.
