Your gym gear is about to get a fashionable upgrade thanks to Katie Cassidy. The Arrow actress was just named brand ambassador and celebrity stylist for Lady Foot Locker — and she couldn’t be more thrilled about the job.
“[Lady Foot Locker] is all about empowering women,” Cassidy tells PEOPLE. “I think it’s important for women to feel confident and sexy — all women.”
The actress picked outfits for the athletic brand’s VIP program; through December, for every woman that joins the VIP program, LFL will donate to H.E.L.P Malawi (the charity of Cassidy’s choice, a non-profit that aids foster children in the African nation).
Though the star describes her selects as “fun and comfortable and sexy yet conservative,” she was sure to not choose anything too risqué. “Always go for comfort,” she recommends for choosing gym garb. “I never understood why girls work out in revealing clothing. I like to keep the goods a mystery.”
And as for sneaker style? This girl takes a cue from the guys. “I like boy shoes,” she admits. “High tops remind me of the ’80s … They make me feel like a badass.”
