Mel Gibson ‘sent apologetic text messages to ex’

Mel Gibson had sent her ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva apologetic text messages after explosive January fight, it has emerged.

The “Mad Max” star was subdued in a series of apologetic text messages on the day after he allegedly punched her in the mouth, reports RadarOnline.com.

“Oksana, I wasn”t safe for you last night,” the New York Daily News quoted one of the January 7 texts.

“I spent two hours with a therapist today and have regained some perspective.”

“What I”m telling you know if I am safe & would like to come by and make amends to you, Sascha and Lucia. I won”t stay just let you say your peace and I”ll say mine. Let me know if it”s alright!” he added.

Gibson sent another five brief text messages in the 30 minutes before the mother of his daughter Lucia finally replied.

“I have two broken teeth and a concussion,” Grigorieva responded.

“I can not c u today, I”m hurting. U can apologize to Sacha some other time.”

Gibson then asked about her teeth and wrote: “Did you get them fixed yet?”
