Movie News: Director Peter Berg Wants to Make 'Rundown 2' with Jonah Hill
The Rundown 2: Director Peter Berg says he still wants to make a sequel to his 2003 action comedy The Rundown (above). The original 2003 adventure starred Dwayne Johnson as a bounty hunter who is hired to retrieve a mobster’s son from a jungle in South America. Berg says that a sequel script has been written and that now he wants Jonah Hill (War Dogs, above right) to team with Johnson. “If Jonah Hill would do it, I’m in,” he says. [Collider]
Winchester: Jason Clarke (Terminator Genisys, is in negotiations to star in Winchester. Helen Mirren is already set to star in the thriller as the heiress to a fireworks company. Believing herself to be haunted, she begins construction on an elaborate mansion designed to keep the spirits at bay. If things work out, Clarke will play a doubting psychiatrist sent to evaluate her state of mind. Michael Spierig and Peter Spierig (Predestination) will direct. [Variety]
Detroit Riots: John Krasinski (The Hollars, above) is the latest actor to join Kathryn Bigelow’s untitled drama about the Detroit race riots that broke out in the summer of 1967. John Boyega and Will Poulter lead the ensemble cast in the movie, which is currently in production. [THR]
Finding Altamira Clip: Antonio Banderas stars in Finding Altamira as a humble man who discovered paintings with great historical significance in the 19th century. His discovery quickly met with skepticism and doubt, though, which is reflected in a new, extended clip. The movie opens in theaters on Friday. [Movieclips]
