Novak Djokovic poses shirtless for Vogue magazine and talks about his life as a professional tennis player.
The 24-year-old Serbian tennis star, who is currently ranked number two in world tennis, spoke candidly with the magazine. Here’s some of what he had to say:
On his girlfriend of six years, Jelena Ristic: “She’s very ambitious; she has her own goals’s…she’s been a great support to me… She’s been the source of energy. Of love. It’s something that keeps me going, you know?”
On healthy eating regimes: “Mentally, you’ll be fresh, you’ll be happier, you’ll be calmer. Physically, you’ll be stronger, faster, more dynamic, your muscles will work better. That’s what I feel.”
On the rush of playing tennis: “And when we get on the court and the crowd cheers your name or salutes you—it’s like you’re a gladiator in the arena. And everyone is cheering—and you’re fighting, you’re screaming, during your strokes—it feels like you’re an animal, fighting for your life.”
