‘Person of Interest’ is watching … On Comic-Con keycards

“Person of Interest” will feature on the special, souvenir keycards available at many hotels during the 2013 San Diego Comic-Con. Considering that it’s a show that focuses on paranoia and a Machine that knows everything, this is more than a little creepy.

This marks the sixth consecutive year that Warner Bros. Television has sponsored the 40,000 room keys for SDCC-goers. Unlike previous years, however, “Person of Interest” (a Warner Bros. production aired on CBS) is the only show featured on the cards.

There will be two different designs available in San Diego. The first features the characters of Reese (Jim Caviezel) and Finch (Michael Emerson) watching the user while he or she opens the door. The second keycard design is “a response to those who may have suggested that ‘Person of Interest’ — which posits a world in which a highly sophisticated, all-seeing surveillance program could track the whereabouts of virtually anyone, anywhere, following our every move — was a bit of science fiction.” Considering the recent NSA-related news, “Toldja” is not inappropriate.

As for the show itself, “Person of Interest” will hold its SDCC panel on Saturday, July 20. Executive producers Jonathan Nolan and Greg Plageman will join unannounced members of the show’s cast.

While the first two seasons of “Person of Interest” are now available online (via iTunes and Amazon), Season 3 will begin Tuesday, Sept. 24.
