Susan Boyle blames father for lack of romance in her life

Singing sensation Susan Boyle has blamed her father for her loveless life, as he ruined her first relationship saying she was not ready for love.

The ”I Dreamed A Dream star”, who shot to fame on TV show ”Britain”s Got Talent” last year, has never had a long term partner and has often spoken of her isolated existence.

Now she”s revealed how her dad Patrick had warned off her boyfriend named John who got close to the singer when she was in her 20s.

In her upcoming autobiography, ”The Woman I Was Born To Be”, Boyle has mentioned the details of the incident.

“It was a chaste relationship that never went further than holding hands and a peck on the cheek. I was upstairs when the phone rang. My father got to it first. ”She doesnae (doesn”t) want to talk to you,” he said and put down the receiver… He wanted to protect me but it did hurt when we stopped seeing each other,” the Daily Star quoted Boyle as saying.
