What to watch on Wednesday, January 25…
Quick question, completely unrelated to the listings below: Reading any good books? Just wondering!
SERIES PREMIERE, 9pm, Fox
Touch
If you enjoyed Heroes but wished it had fewer heroes and was more sentimental, then you may enjoy this newest series from Heroes creator Tim Kring. Kiefer Sutherland stars as a blue-collar widower whose mute son is some kind of autistic genius with numbers and can predict the future. That method is a step up from an artist dude who predicts the future via paintings, I guess.
8pm, CBS
One Tree Hill
The citizens of Tree Hill (LOL forever @ that name) continue navigating their rich emotional lives as Haley gets unexpected assistance from Dan at the café and Quinn discovers that Clay’s been keeping secrets. Meanwhile Chase nurtures a busted heart and Brooke’s father does something very disappointing.
8pm, NBC
Whitney
Tonight Roxanne hires Whitney to assist her at the office but more importantly to spy on a co-worker. Elsewhere, Alex attempts to get organized and Mark consults with Neal and Lily about sprucing up his love life. (The live studio audience will most likely be watching old episodes of Seinfeld on their phones.)
SEASON 22 PREMIERE, 10pm, MTV
The Challenge: Battle of the Exes
Let’s stop pretending we don’t watch this show, because we definitely watch this show. It’s been around for 22 seasons for a reason! In tonight’s season opener, we’ll meet the 26 players who arrive in the Dominican Republic only to find themselves paired off with their respective showmance exes. Plus the normal amount of boozin’ and bruisin’, probably.
10pm, TV Land
Hot in Cleveland
Things are about to get slightly more incestuous, because Victoria’s daughter is about to announce she’s engaged to Melanie’s son. Also, Joy’s blind boyfriend believes she’s 26 (sure) and Elka begins prank-calling a member of the New York Yankees.
