Wife Of Actor Martin Short Dies [Nancy Dolman Dead @ 58]

Nancy Dolman, who was married to actor Martin Short for 30 years, passed away over the weekend. She was 58.

The couple wed in 1980 after meeting eight years earlier while working together in a production of Broadway’s Godspell. Dolman appeared as an understudy to Gilda Radner.

Short’s manager, Marc Gurvitz, confirmed Monday that the actor is mourning the loss of his spouse, but provided no cause of death or any additional details. Though the actual cause of death remains unknown, Nancy was diagnosed with cancer in 2007, when doctors discovered a growth in her left groin area. She underwent surgery and later recovered.

Short is best known for his comedic roles on Saturday Night Live — where he played oddball character Ed Grimley — and in the Father of the Bride franchise. He is nominated for a Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series Emmy for his role in Damages.

Dolman is survived by Short and their three children: Katherine, 27, Oliver, 24, and Henry, 20.
