After a series of delays and one real-life act of heroism, the trailer for “World War Z” has finally arrived.
The adaptation of Max Brooks’s novel imagines quick-footed zombies taking over the world. The only man for the job? Family man — and we’re assuming some one-time decorated solider? — Brad Pitt.
Directed by Marc Forster (“Quantum of Solace”), the film had its share of production headaches. (This poor guy, he can’t catch a break.) Paramount demanded significant reshoots of the filming, pushing its release date back to June 2013; additional writers were brought on post-production; and now, Pitt and Forster are reportedly not on speaking terms.
But! The undead-filled flick has indeed been willed into solid reality. You can take a look at the first trailer above.
Starring Pitt, Mireille Enos, Anthony Mackie, James Badge Dale, Bryan Cranston, “World War Z” hits theaters June 21.
