Robert is THE Freddy (he’s been doing it forever) but I think Jackie Earle Haley is pretty good.

To b honest I couldnt see Robert doing Freddy in this movie…I love his freddy but he was becoming more joking then serious. If he had stuck with the first 1-3 of the elm streets hell yeah put him in! but he was always joking after 3 and I wasnt scared anymore

Why would New Line Cinema allow this to be done with the movie that put them on the map, blasphemy!

I really cannot see Robert playing this role for this remake, Jackie was honoured to act him and I’m glad he took the part. After the first NOES Robert started joking around whilst killing and I was’nt scared one bit, Im glad they created this Freddy and I’m happy that Jackie acted him because no one else, im sure, could have done it more professionally or scary than he did.

this movie makesme ashamed to be a freddy krueger fan. it cudve been way better. i cudve made a better movie. i cud though, i got an awesome imagination. if u sart out with it being a remake then stick to it. dont change it after. =( i still do kinda like this movie. except the fact that it never said wat freddy krueger did. did he molest em or kill them?

WHY ARE PEOPLE STILL HATING ON THIS MOVIE? Jackie Earle did fabulous, get over it. He reinvented Freddy in a way, that you can’t compare him to Englund, so stop!
