Fox Takes Black is the Color
20th Century Fox has taken the rights to an upcoming series of young adult science fiction novels, Variety is reporting. The studio will adapt the first book, Black is the Color , with Shawn Levy producing.
The 24 year old author, Alexandra Bracken, describes the first book in her planned trilogy as follows:
In the six years since being plucked from her old life and placed in a government-run rehabilitation camp, the only color that has entered sixteen-year-old Rubys world is gray of the electric fence surrounding it.
