Team managers with the New York Mets have issued a public apology to comedian Jerry Seinfeld after the star’s exclusive skybox was infiltrated by a bird-flippin’ Lady Gaga and her posse without his consent.

The “Poker Face” hitmaker attended the Mets vs. San Diego Padres matchup at Citi Field Stadium in Queens on Thursday and stunned fans by stripping off to her underwear in full view of the booing crowd, swearing at photographers, and making a series of rude hand gestures.

Mets managers promptly escorted Gaga and her entourage to the safety of Seinfeld’s skybox. Just one little problem — no one thought to call and clear the move with Jerry!

And this is why I’m a Yankees fan!

We deeply regret that Jerry Seinfeld has been associated with this matter and have apologized to him,” a Mets team spokesperson said in a statement to this afternoon. “The use of Jerry Seinfeld’s suite was unauthorized and unknown to him at the time. We made a quick decision to place Lady Gaga and her group in a private suite because of issues related to her visit.””
