Alice Evans, who played Klaus’ mom Esther on the CW’s The Vampire Diaries, has signed on to NBC’s Grimm as Mia, a powerful Royal who comes to Portland to see Captain Renard (Sasha Roiz). Mia and Renard are said to have had an “ongoing relationship” for many years, but Renard — despite being happy to see her — suspects there’s more to her visit than he’s led to believe.
She will appear in episode 6 of the show, which kicks off its second season on Aug. 13.
