DC Extended Universe: Justice League released a new image of Batman, Wonder Woman and The Flash. Jesse Eisenberg and Connie Nielsen were confirmed for Justice League. Stephanie Corneliussen is campaiging to play Poison Ivy in Gotham City Sirens.

Marvel Cinematic Universe: A casting call revealed all the heroes and villains who’ll be in Avengers: Infinity War. Taika Waititi confirmed Sakaar (Planet Hulk) is a location in Thor: Ragnarok.

Star Wars: Rogue One‘s Saw Gerrera will return to TV in Star Wars Rebels.

Alien: James Franco confirmed his role in Alien: Covenant. A bloody new picture from the movie was revealed.

Blade Runner: Blade Runner 2049 barely used green screen effects.

Sequels: Dick Van Dyke joined the cast of Mary Poppins Returns but not in his original role.  Stallone, Statham and Schwarzenegger will return for Expendables 4. The original movie character Nova will be in War of the Planet of the Apes.

Remakes: George Clooney is turning the new short documentary The White Helmets into a dramatic feature. Metropolis will be redone as a TV miniseries. Legendary wants Denis Villeneuve for their Dune movie.

Biopics: Jonah Hill and Rooney Mara joined Gus Van Sant’s John Callahan movie.

Animation: Will Forte, Ellen Page and Nick Offerman will voice the English-language version of My Life as a Zucchini.

Special Effects: Martin Scorsese plans to feature a digitally de-aged Robert De Niro in The Irishman.

Box Office: Obviously Rogue One: A Star Wars Story won the weekend.
