HBO is developing a new comedy series starring Footloose actor Kevin Bacon.
The cable network is eyeing a comedy series set at a country club, with actor Kevin Bacon producing and considering a starring role, Deadline.com informants dished on Tuesday.
The still-untitled series will be based on The Member-Guest, Clint McCown’s 1995 novel about a burned-out golf pro eying a comeback.
Kevin has never starred in a television series before, but he previously worked with HBO when he starred in the Iraq war drama Taking Chance. His wife, actress Kyra Sedgwick, has won numerous acting accolades for her TNT crime drama The Closer.
