HTC Hero to roll out with Android 2.1 by mid-April

HTC Hero is getting an Android 2.1 in around 2 weeks or precisely on April 16.

HTC Hero is getting an Android 2.1 in around 2 weeks or precisely on April 16.

The HTC Hero features a 3.2-inch TFT-LCD touch-sensitive screen supporting 320×480 HVGA resolution, 5.0 mega pixel camera that supports auto focus, G-sensor and digital compass.

A HTC Club member received an email from HTC specifying that “there are Rom upgrades to the HTC Hero released for the handsets with the following ROMs Nordic/Greek/RUS/UKR/SA on the 16th of April. ROM upgrades for other handsets should follow shortly”.

Although it was not particularly stated but it is expected that the ROM update would be Android 2.1.
