The Boy Who Lived lives on!

Though the seven-part “Harry Potter” series is over, J.K. Rowling isn’t done telling stories within that universe. Her supplemental book, “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” is getting made into a movie. And now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Rowling is developing a prequel for the stage.

She won’t write the play, but co-produce the theatrical production with Sonia Friedman and Colin Callender.

The play will focus on Harry’s life before his time at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, when he was a young child living with the Dursleys at No. 4 Privet Drive. Here’s the synopsis:

What was it like to be the boy in the cupboard under the stairs? This brand new play, which will be developed for the U.K. theatre, will explore the previously untold story of Harry’s early years as an orphan and outcast. Featuring some of our favorite characters from the Harry Potter books, this new work will offer a unique insight into the heart and mind of the now legendary young wizard. A seemingly ordinary boy, but one for whom Destiny has plans…

The producers are looking for a writer and director and eyeing a 2015 premiere in the U.K.
