The Kidnapping of Edgardo Mortara: Steven Spielberg plans to produce a religious drama titled The Kidnapping of Edgardo Mortara, with an eye toward directing it as well. Tony Kushner, who previously worked with Spielberg on Lincoln and Munich, will write the screenplay, based on a novel by David Kertzner. It’s inspired by the real-life account of a young Italian Jewish boy in the 19th century who was taken away from his parents and raised as a Catholic, eventually becoming a priest. [Variety]

Maleficent: Got $ 94? That’s the admission price for Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida, and, starting today, that will also get you an exclusive sneak peek at the upcoming fantasy-adventure Maleficent, starring Angelina Jolie. It’s a little bit cheaper for out-of-state guests at Disney’s California Adventure Park, where it’s only $ 92 for those aged 10 and up. Or, for free, you can watch a new featurette below.
