I like the Nikon L series of small point and shoot cameras. The L27 is pretty much as the L26 with a slightly smaller view screen. These cameras are pretty easy to use and take nice pictures. It has a bright screen so it can be used in bright light with little problem. The L27 has been at remarkable prices for new cameras which is why I got this one as I already had enough cameras.

I’ve debated getting a small camera for a year or more. I’d looked at stores and on-line and found this Nikon and prior buyers here and elsewhere rated it higher. I did get this for less than the Amazon seller at online WalMart plus the “card” for it was thrown in for about $56.00. As an old 35 mm buff (still have two Minolta’s) this is easy to use and much easier than holding up our Kindle to take simple photos. I highly rate this because it’s simple to understand and easy to use – one knock: if you’re not very nimble (getting older) then the small buttons used for features might be a bit of a challenge. I am looking very forward to pictures of the grandchildren and family get togethers.

After much research and reading of reviews I decided on this camera. It is very compact with a lot of wonderful features. It can sense if someone blinks so you can take another picture, it can sense a smile, it has a flash built in, has automatic features along with manual setting for an advanced photographer. Another great feature is that it runs on two AA alkaline batteries so no special ones are needed. I would recommend that you purchase Lithium AA batteries over regular alkaline batteries to operate this camera as they will last much longer and you will be much more satisfied with their performance – but in a pinch you could use any AA alkaline batteries. It is so small that it could easily fit into a woman’s purse. The only drawbacks that I can see is that it is so small that it might be hard to hang on to and also you might block the flash with your finger when trying to hold onto it. Over all I would purchase it again and am very satisfied with it. I would recommend it to others. Appears to be a fine, quality product.
