Rutger Hauer joins ‘True Blood’: Did he kill Sookie’s parents?

rutger-hauer-true-blood.jpgRutger Hauer is joining “True Blood” as a series regular for the HBO vampire drama’s sixth season. According to TV Line, the Dutch actor will play Macklyn, “a mysterious and sinister figure with deep ties to Sookie and Jason.”

Would Macklyn’s last name be “Warlow” by any chance?

As we saw at the end of Season 5, no one is more mysterious, sinister and deeply connected to the Stackhouses than a certain “M. Warlow,” the presumed killer of Sookie’s (Anna Paquin) parents and contractual owner of the first female-fairy heir in the Stackhouse clan: Sookie herself.

Hauer is perfect to assume the role of “True Blood’s” new big bad. (Forget Billith. We have.) Not only did he play the iconic Roy Batty in “Blade Runner,” but he memorably tore Jennifer Jason Leigh‘s body in half as the villain in “The Hitcher.”

What do you think? Could Macklyn be M. Warlow? We have plenty of time to speculate: “True Blood” doesn’t return to HBO until next summer.
