Sony Six bags broadcast rights to New Zealand – India cricket series

The channel will telecast 5 ODIs and 2 Test matches starting January 19, 2014

sony-sixSony Six, a leading sports and entertainment channel, has acquired the exclusive broadcast rights to the New Zealand vs India cricket series. The series will be held in New Zealand and is scheduled from January 19, 2014 to February 18, 2014. The 30-day tour starts with five ODIs followed by two Test Matches.

The India tour of New Zealand is part of the Future Cricket Tour Programme (FTP) prepared by the International Cricket Council (ICC). This is the first series for the Indian team in 2014. The two teams last met in New Zealand five years ago in 2009 where India were able to register a series win in New Zealand after 41 years.

Sony Six is owned and operated by MSM India. The company exclusively broadcasts some of the world’s largest international sporting properties like the Pepsi IPL, UEFA EURO 2016, Qualifiers for UEFA EURO 2016 and the European Qualifiers for FIFA World Cup 2018, Australian Open, TNA, The NBA and The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
