Tracy Morgan: Black & Blue premieres Nov. 13 @ 10pm ET on HBO.
The stand-up special was taped in front of a live audience back in September at New York’s Apollo Theatre, where the Bronx native was discovered more than 20 years ago. Black & Blue features “audacious observations on such subjects as the difference between white and black culture, drugs, meeting President Obama, white rage, airport profiling, terrorism and sex,” according to a statement from HBO.
“The special is going to be all the elements: fire, water, earth, air, the comedy bender, the avatar of comedy experience,” says Morgan, who appeared on sketch comedy hit Saturday Night Live before his Emmy-nominated turn as Tracy Jordan on NBC’s 30 Rock, now in its fifth season.
