Watch: The Director of 'Criminal' Is In Awe of His Accidental 'JFK' Reunion

If you’ve never seen JFK before, watching it will probably blow your mind a little bit. Not because of its swirling conspiracy theories (it also doesn’t matter if you believe any of it– the drama of it all is simply fantastic), but because its cast is simply unbelievable. You basically can’t go 10 minutes of watching JFK without going, “Wait, this person is in this, too?!” And that’s saying something considering JFK is approximately 10,000 hours long. It is an all time great cast.

The JFK cast is also huge, which is why it’s understandable that director Ariel Vromen didn’t even realize he had cast a JFK reunion when he was putting together his own twisty thriller, Criminal. Kevin Costner stars as an inmate implanted with a CIA agent’s memories, Gary Oldman is the CIA honcho behind the operation, and Tommy Lee Jones is a doctor who makes it all possible.

It was actually Oldman who asked Vromen about the JFK reunion casting, which you can see in this exclusive behind-the-scenes clip led to a pretty one-of-a-kind moment once all three actors were back together again for the first time in two decades.

Check it out.
