“Piranhas 3D” Sequel

A sequel to the box office hit Piranhas 3D is reportedly in the works.

Dimensions Films — the studio behind the new disaster film — are so pleased with the film’s opening weekend success at the box office, they’re already hard at work on a sequel.

The movie, which features British beauty Kelly Brook, Elisabeth Shue, Ving Rhames, and Jerry O’Connell, made $10 million at the US box office over the weekend and finished up just outside the top five films, trumping Jennifer Aniston’s critically-panned comedy The Switch. Moviegoers are entranced with the film, which follows a pack of piranha unleashed on spring breakers partying on an Arizona lake.

“We are thrilled that audiences are not justloving Piranha 3D, but cheering for it,” says producer Mark Canton. “And it’s fantastic that so many critics are really getting the movie and recommending it. We can-t wait to get to work on the sequel.”
