This Aladdin movie gives me more Bollywood Indian vibes rather than Arabian. But I do know most Hollywood can't tell the difference between the two cultures just as they can't between Chinese and Japanese. Either that or they just couldn't be bothered.

Saw the film last night. Thought it was okay but ultimately disappointing. Will Smith was okay, but the genie CGI was terrible! Jasmine was good. Aladdin was a little wooden; there was hardly any expression on his face even though he had just gone from being a street bum to entering into a cave of wonders and finding a magic lamp and a genie, and getting three wishes. The vizier wasn't as bad as people said. He didn't have the right look, but his acting was okay. There was only one really good sequence: the you've never had a friend like me song and dance number. If the whole film were like that, it would have been incredible.

I am an Arab but I really don’t see the old Middle East or anyone who looks middle eastern. So many actors and actresses from our side of the world would LOVED to participate in something like this or could of had Americans actors with middle eastern roots in it. I think I will watch the movie ,but Sad to see a big production not be very faithful to the culture it suppose to reflect.

Doubt will watch it. None of the actors look suitable for the role. Aladdin guy looks so out of place. Almost like lost in the movie. Will Smith looks awful with that blue bodybuilder body.
